Fred’s: Coffee & Community
An Audience-Focused Feasibility Study
This study was completed for one of my writing classes. I was tasked with creating a concept/idea for something that could be beneficial to a specific audience; I selected the local Harrisonburg community.
The concept behind Fred’s is a restaurant and cafe that also serves as a communal space. The establishment would be open for breakfast and brunch, while also hosting events that promote community on occasional afternoons and weekends. The primary purpose of this restaurant is to serve as a community hub. The study also discusses many of the potential logistics required to open and operate a unique business such as this.
Logo, Brand, & Advertisement Design
Noma Guard SPF
This project was completed for my Advanced Visual Communication Design course. We were tasked with creating a custom logo, as well as a custom typography for an original company/brand. I decided to create Noma Guard, a sunscreen brand.
The primary logo for Noma Guard is a combination mark composed of three colors: burgundy, gold, and light yellow. The logo is meant to be reminiscent of a the crest or coat of arms of a medieval knight. The sun and lion with sunglasses, paired with the shape of the shield, helps represent the purpose of the product, a sun protectant.
The mission of the brand is to reshape the way we all see sunscreen. Many people still view it as a luxury or an optional skin care product, rather than a basic, universal health necessity. Defending your skin from harmful UV rays should be easy and convenient.

MY ACHIEVEMENTS!
During the summer of 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in London for over two months. While there, I studied British culture, theatre, film, pop culture, and advertising, all while exploring one of the world’s largest hubs for marketing, advertising, and design.
Through my academic and leadership experiences, I have had the opportunity to develop skills in strategic content creation, digital design & editing, and creative storytelling. I am passionate about combining brand identity, audience insight, and innovative thinking to create memorable and impactful content.
This upcoming semester, I will be serving as a Creative Coordinator at Bluestone Communications — a student-run, nationally affiliated, public relations firm, while also continuing my role as the Director of Visual Identity for my sorority: Alpha Sigma Tau (Psi Chapter).
